In recent years, food processing regulations have become increasingly tough. Operators in the food processing sector have had an obligation to institute tighter controls of all the materials that come into contact with ingredients throughout the food production chain, work gloves included.

UniSeal® disposable food processing / food handling gloves (single use) are manufactured in accordance to the FDA specifications, and USDA guidelines for food handling, food processing and food preparations and comply with the Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act (FFDCA). which allows repeated use in direct contact with food. These food processing / food handling gloves are safe in all USDA, and Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) inspected establishments.

We offer you the guarantee of compatibility between foodstuffs and glove components and full compliance with the toughest national standards in terms of food contact and food hygiene. More specifically, we offer you lower levels of migration fromfood processing / food handling gloves to foodstuffs than current legislation requires.

UniSeal® food processing gloves are safe for food handling of poultry, processing meat, picking fruits, and all sorts of applications with cooked and uncooked food. SafeCare-Gloves strongly urge the food processing industries to use only medical grade gloves, which have a lower pinhole level, rather than industrial grade or general-purpose glove, to minimize cross-contamination between workers and food.

UniSeal® Nitrile Gloves for food processing / food handling are made from 100% soft blue Synthetic NBR (Nitrile Butadiene Rubber), a synthetic compound that's completely latex-free . Non-Latex Nitrile gloves do not contain allergy-causing proteins, therefore they can provide an excellent alternative for people who experience latex sensitivity and have the potential for adverse allergic reactions associated with latex protein.

The soft Nitrile food processing / food handling gloves material reacts to your body temperature and conforms to the shape of your hand, making them exceptionally snug. So you get a cool, dry, precise fit, with far less hand fatigue. Nitrile material also has a naturally low coefficient of friction, making them easy to don (put on). Disposable Nitrile food processing / food handling gloves provide a high degree of softness, sensitivity, feel and flexibility. UniSeal® Nitrile food processing / food handling gloves are also far more resistant to punctures and tears than either latex or vinyl (Nitrile gloves are three times more puncture resistant than natural rubber), and disposable Nitrile food processing / food handling gloves stand up to a variety of greases, fats, oils, and bases.

Synthetic vinyl food processing / food handling gloves offer the best of both worlds. Flex Vinyl synthetic vinyl gloves look like latex, feel like latex and have a barrier performance equal to latex gloves. These state-of-the-art third generation vinyl gloves were developed to have all the benefits of a natural rubber latex (NRL) latex glove, without any allergic risks -- because they are latex-free! Cutting-edge proprietary formulation of stretch copolymer polyvinyl chloride (PVC) blends the soft feeling of premium leather with durability that provides a better performance, fit and comfort. Not to be confused with the traditional cheap "see-through" vinyl gloves.

Synthetic vinyl food processing / food handling gloves are engineered for durability and flexibility. In terms of the material itself, they have a supple quality that makes them soft and stretchy. And the glove molds to the specific shape of your hand in response to your body temperature. Within seconds of putting them on, the gloves mold to the contour of the hand to produce a smooth, comfortable fit In fact, synthetic vinyl gloves are created using anatomically-correct molds to ensure optimum fit and comfort. They help reduce hand strain and fatigue in the palm and thumb area. They’re also designed to fit either hand and offer a firm, non-slip grip in wet or dry situations. Non-latex synthetic vinyl food processing gloves even help reduce hand fatigue by being a little looser around the cuff, allowing more air to circulate around the skin.

MEDICAL GRADE GLOVES:

UniSeal® food processing / food handling gloves are manufactured in accordance with FDA specifications, U.S. Department of Agriculture's (USDA) guidelines, and the Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act (FFDCA) for food handling, food processing and food preparations. These gloves are safe in all USDA, and Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) inspected establishments.

Gloves that pass Viral Penetration Tests (ASTM1671D) provide an effective barrier against bloodborne pathogens, as mandated by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH).

DON’T BE FOOLED - B GRADE GLOVES

Also known as off-line gloves or industrial grade gloves. They are not medical grade. These gloves are either made to not meet medical gloves standards in the first place, or they fail in pinhole rates or specifications in quality control, and are downgraded from medical grade to B grade. These gloves are usually labeled as disposable gloves and cannot be labeled as exam gloves, and do not provide barrier protection against Hazardous Materials, Toxic Chemicals, Biological Risks (known and unknown) and other pathogens.
